Tara Cassidy, NBC-HWC

Tara received her Masters degree in Health & Wellness Coaching from the Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH) and is a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) based in Frederick, MD. She has been a lifelong learner of using food as medicine both for her own healing journey and her clients plagued by chronic illness. She spent the past 9 years deepening her meditation practice with Vipassana (Mindfulness) meditation, most recently completing the Insight Meditation Community of Washington’s (IMCW) Year of Living Mindfully (YLM) both as a participant (2017) and as a mentor (2020). She also co-facilitates weekly discussion groups after IMCW two leading teacher’s dharma talks.

Tara has been inspired by her formal and informal studies of self-compassion, positive psychology, functional medicine, Chinese medicine, Ayurveda, mindful eating, Vipassana meditation, Buddhist psychology and coaching for behavioral change, to name a few. Tara is inspired to share her varied wisdom and help others find their own inner wisdom.
