Tara Cassidy, MA, NBC-HWC

Tara Cassidy, MA, NBC-HWC earned her masters degree from the Maryland University of Integrative Health and is a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach who works with women to overcome their fatigue from living such busy lives through changing their relationship to food.

Tara has observed many forms of spiritual practice over the years, before she discovered Vipassana meditation in 2011. She’s an alumni and mentor of Jonathan Foust’s The Year of Living Mindfully program (YLM), and co-facilitates both Jonathan Foust and Tara Brach’s post-dharma talk Discussion Groups.  She has attended Insight Meditation Community of Washington (IMCW) day-long and weekend retreats taught by Tara Brach, Jonathan Foust, Sharon Salzburg and Stan Eisenstein. Tara has also been part of the same Spiritual Friends Group for three years and co-lead another in her mentor role with YLM. She attended her first week long silent meditation retreat through the YLM program in February 2020. She has been inspired by her formal and informal studies of psychology, nutrition and exercise science.  Some of these include positive psychology, functional medicine, and yoga.

Tara has had her own long and winding health journey through the years. She sees herself as her own laboratory, bringing her curiosity, self-compassion and insights from her own journey to her clients.  She is inspired to share her varied wisdom to help others discover their own inner wisdom.
