Deep Relaxation for Anxiety, Grief & Stress
Whether your stress comes from work, family or finances, it can have a devastating impact on your body. The good news is that your body has a powerful antidote to stress known as the “relaxation response,” which is the physiological opposite of the stress response known as fight-flight-freeze. It is easy to learn, and very relaxing! You don’t need to have any experience with meditation or have a calm mind for it to work. During this three week series, Heather will help your body learn how to relax again, so you can sleep better, feel less reactive, and help yourself tap into your body’s natural resilience.
Heather does all the work – you just relax on comfortable blankets while she guides you through the guided relaxation exercise based on the Harvard-born Herbert-Benson protocol, which has been proven time and again in peer-reviewed studies to reduce a variety of complaints and stress-related illnesses, including:
