Saturday Meditation Workshop Will Be on Hiatus

Cultivating Compassion

About This Workshop:

Vipassana meditation can be described as having two wings: Mindfulness and Compassion. This workshop will develop a better understanding of compassion, and how to cultivate compassion. During this workshop, Ray will share with you practical tips that will help you cultivate a sense of compassion.  We will do guided meditations, journaling, small-sharing groups, and wisdom sharing.

What You Can Expect:

We will deepen our understanding of the following topics:

  • What is compassion?
  • Why is compassion important?
  • How can you cultivate compassion?

What To Bring

Please bring a journal and something to write with. All are welcome. Chairs and cushions are provided for your comfort, as well as hot tea and water.

About Your Instructor:

I began meditating in 2015 as a way to alleviate my depression and anxiety. Meditation, the Dharma and the Sangha have become foundations of my life. Mindfulness has taught me how to slow down, to not hold things too tight or too loose, and to truly be in-tune with my body. The ability to have present moment awareness, wisdom, compassion, and the courage to hold these felt-sense feelings can be transformational and liberating. Learn More About Ray Manyoky….
