About This Workshop:

Jan 18th, 2020: Two Wings of the Practice: Part 2 (Compassion or Loving Awareness)

Vipassana meditation can be described as having two wings: Mindfulness and Compassion. Like a bird, you need two wings to fly. During this workshop, Ray will share with you practical tips that will help you Mindfulness or Awareness.  We will do guided meditations, journaling, small-sharing groups, wisdom sharing and a final meditation.

Next Workshop: Feb 15th, 2020: Body-Centered Awareness

What You Can Expect:

We will deepen our understanding of the following topics:

  • What is Vipassana Meditation?
  • How can you cultivate mindfulness?
  • How do you keep from getting lost in thought or distracted?

What To Bring

Please bring a journal and something to write with. All are welcome. Chairs and cushions are provided for your comfort, as well as hot tea and water.

About Your Instructor:

I began meditating in 2015 as a way to alleviate my depression and anxiety. Meditation, the Dharma and the Sangha have become foundations of my life. Mindfulness has taught me how to slow down, to not hold things too tight or too loose, and to truly be in-tune with my body. The ability to have present moment awareness, wisdom, compassion, and the courage to hold these felt-sense feelings can be transformational and liberating. Learn More About Ray Manyoky….
