Quiet Mind, Rich Life: Mindfulness Meditation in the Heart of the Agricultural Reserve

About this Gathering

Mindfulness meditation has been in the news so much recently for good reason; it is shown to reduce stress, increase happiness, and support meaningful social connection. But it is also a way to gain insights into your mind and heart, and to fully inhabit this precious life each one of us has been given. It is not a religion, requires no supernatural beliefs, and can help us through the darkest times. It is a pathway to greater peace, spaciousness, and presence, no matter what life may throw at us. Why not give it a try?

Come to Locals Farm Market in Poolesville, MD (19929 Fisher Ave, Poolesville, MD 20837) —the heart of the beautiful Montgomery County Agricultural Reserve—for a 2-week introductory class series where you will learn and practice the art of mindfulness meditation. Nothing required except yourself, a blanket, cushion, or chair, and an open mind. Classes will be held outdoors, rain or shine (shelter available if needed).

Attendance for both sessions is encouraged, but not required. Join when you can!
