Teens face a tremendous amount of stress, yet few are taught practical coping skills. Mindfulness for teens will teach teens how to manage everything life throws at them – without turning to distractions or destructive behavior.

Learn how to slow down a busy mind, cultivate compassion, enhance positive emotions, and authentically listen and communicate with one another.

Jan Hummer, executive director of Open Minds, will lead guided meditations, mindful movement , art, and fun mindfulness-based activities. Participants will find a deeper connection to themselves and others, fostering a sense of well being, safety, and happiness.
